Metro Atlanta’s Newest City has a New Landlord

The newly formed City of Stonecrest in Metro Atlanta has a new Landlord. An affiliate of Detroit-based Ashley Capital purchased Stonecrest Center, a 54,000 square foot office building, located in the shadows of the Mall at Stonecrest in eastern Dekalb County, from an affiliate of Cadillac Fairview. This two-story, multi-tenant Class A building will house Strayer University and the administrative offices for the new municipality by the end of 2017.

Lavista Associates, Inc.’s Bobby Mayson and Rob Binion represented the Seller in the disposition of this, their only office asset in this submarket, located just off of Interstate I-20, twenty miles east of downtown Atlanta. Ashley Capital will also relocate it’s Atlanta operating team to the building later this year.

The City of Stonecrest became operational this month with the official nomination of city officials and the opening of their new offices in the 3120 Stonecrest building.
