Atlanta’s entrepreneurial investment capital is actively seeking value-add acquisition opportunities as evidenced by Buford Retail Investments’ purchase of Buford Square from an affiliate of SouthCrest Financial Group. Lavista Associates, Inc. is pleased to announced this acquisition of a 164,088 SF retail center on 17 acres at the intersection of Buford Highway and Georgia Highway 20 in Gwinnett County.
This year end 2013 closing represented Lavista’s eightieth (80th) retail center transaction since 2011 and illustrates demand for this product sector as markets recover and the economy improves. Buford Retail Investments, led by experienced investor Penn Hodge, has already embarked on a leasing campaign.
Lavista’s Phil Ryan and Kevin Walsh brokered the sale on behalf of SouthCrest Financial, for whom the firm also provides facility management services in Georgia and Alabama.
